moving on out.......no not us

well today my parents signed the papers to sell their house. It was my childhood home. My dad bought that house before my parents got married and today was the last day to step foot in it. It was actually one of 2 houses in that neighborhood when he bought it. I remember being little and the construction was going on the house next door and I would go climb in the windows and play. so weird where the neighborhood has gone from them to now. I'm sad but not really. the house was way too big for them to handle, they needed something smaller and they wanted to get out to the country. also the neighborhood isn't what it use to be.
I'm proud of them actually. many people don't want to leave b/c of sentimental reasons but now it's time to start new memories. I have so many good memories in that house, I will never forget.
that time in my life will be well treasured.
moving on to new memories and good times in the country.

That is what you have to hold on to...the memories! I was heartbroken when my dad and stepmom sold the house I grew up in!!!!! But I have so many memories there and it was best they start fresh making new memories!!!!

Awe! That house...heck, that neighborhood, has a lot of good memories for me,too! I can remember always knowing, 'that's Mr. Lawrence's house, that's Mr. Jack's house, that's where Ms. Neal lives...and so on.' ALL my friends lived there! So sad that we're all getting older and our parents are moving on to bigger and newer and better things. Where are they going?
