new adventures
so much to tell about.
did you know that 2 years olds........
arches in his feet develop
nerves develop, feet & legs can go numb when he sits on them
belly jumps when mom drives fast and we hit a bump, ha ha! (moms favorite)
becomes very independent (favorite quote, 'I do it')
like to help with everything
like to see everything
like to know what you are doing at all times ('whatcha looking for')
love to read
love to color (which is inclusive of writing, coloring, drawing)
love to brush their teeth & hair
I am AMAZED! didn't know that all that stuff developed at this age. How amazing God is to allow such wonderful things. I am IN LOVE with my sweet little boy.
Wyatt is so polite. He will say 'Bless You' when you sneeze or blow your nose. He will say 'Thank You' and 'Your Welcome'. We are working on 'Yes/No Ma'am' & 'Yes/No Sir'. (Lord please let him stay this way)
He loves animals of all kinds, particularly cows. Everywhere we go we look for cows. Probably a good thing we live in the country. Does not like bugs or frogs (probably my fault), but I'm not taking the blame. They are gross. Ha! Loves his friends. We are so lucky to have such wonderful friends. Wyatt gets so excited when it's time to go to school or church because he loves to play with his friends.
Loves to give & receive kisses. Loves his nana, uncle, aunt missy & cousins. It kills me that we aren't closer to Chip's family but that is the hand we were dealt.
Loves to slide and if he sees a swingset you better watch out.
Loves to jump on everything. He hasn't gotten brave enough to jump off anything without help, but the day is coming.
I love this kid. This little person I helped create.
I can't wait to see what the next few days, months, years have in store for us.

someone needs to kick my rear in gear!
ok I've been so bad at posting and I'll admit it's because I can't post from my phone. Most of my pictures of Wyatt are on my phone. I need a camera, I want a good camera, I want a great camera. Christmas is coming!!!!! Anyway, I need to get my rear in gear. Lot's of great outings are coming up and I can't wait.
I was looking at our calendar and Wyatt has a better social calendar than I do.

too long, too long
so much has happened since my last post. I have a ton of pictures to post but my iphone app doesn't work anymore and if I sit down at the computer Wyatt is all over me trying to 'help'. So it's been a long time since my last post.
We have had birthday #2 for Wyatt. It was a blast. We have been to several birthday parties for friends. We've been to the Splash Park, Children's Museum, Flowood Fire Station, and several friends homes. It's been a great summer. Wyatt just began the Fall semester of swim lessons at Malley's. We are working on the separation anxiety right now. He does everything Ms Elizabeth tells him to do but he whines for 'momma' the entire time. The first week was awful, the 2nd week was a little better. Tomorrow is week 3, so we will see what happens. Funny thing is that he asks to go 'wimmin' about every other day. He loves it, he just wants me in there with him.
Chip finally got a promotion at work. Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord. This is the prayer we have been praying for over 3 years. But I kept telling him to be patient, it would come. Praise the Lord. Now we are working on that same prayer for me. Praying the right position opens up soon, really soon.
Wyatt is loving church and all his friends of all ages. When we talk about getting ready to go somewhere he asks if we are going to 'chuch' or 'iana's'. God bless that sweet boy he is going to be just like his momma. Social butterfly and I'm glad. I love people and being around friends & family.
ok, hopefully I'll have pictures soon.
God Bless

July 2011
Fun Filled Weekend (July 16th)
Saturday was Braden Laughlin's 5th Birthday Bash
So much fun. The boys played baseball and Jumped in the Jumpy
Wyatt spotted the slide and Mom was put to work!
He climbed up the ladder all by himself and went down the slide too.
Not too sure about letting go at first
Landed on his back and he couldn't stop giggling. He thought it was the greatest thing. He got up and said 'Gin, Momma' and Again we went!
After the party we got home and he laid down. Determined to play ball but didn't quite make it.

lot's going on..... need to catch up
Jump Momma, Jump!!
Slide!!
Saturday before July 4th we went over to Richie & Mindy's for a cookout/hangout. Wyatt fell in love with Tex. Tex is a big dog but Wyatt wanted to badly to touch him. After about an hour of warming up to each other, Wyatt decided that the dogbed was a great place to hang out. He & Tex sat on the dogbed looking out the window. It was so cute!
I touch it! Tex was so sweet to Wyatt
'Play Baseball' He had on the bike helmet, holding the football and waving bye to Nana telling her he was going to play baseball. Priceless

love my job title of Mommy
Ok someone brought to my attention that on Facebook it looks like all Wyatt does is eat chicken nuggets & swim. At first I felt a little bad b/c if that is what people are seeing, I'm horrible. But then my mind changed, if that is what people are seeing then I'm grateful. He's being fed & He's learning to be safe around water and having fun doing it all. I'm Awesome! Sometimes it's hard because you don't get to hear how great you are in words. Sometimes you need to hear those words. But then I have to remember that every smile, every giggle, every hug, every snuggle, everytime he says Mommy, is him telling me how Awesome I Am!!!
I love that sweet boy with every fiber of my being.
I wouldn't have it any other way.
I keep trying to tell Chip that we need to be patient with every moment that happens. Getting aggravated b/c he won't sleep in his own bed or he won't mind. Be patient, it will change, it will be different soon. We will be looking back, getting sad and what we missed. I refuse to miss anything. I want to soak up every moment.
I think that is my reason of not wanting to have another baby anytime soon. I don't want to miss anything. I can tell you almost every word Wyatt knows. I can translate almost 99% of every word he speaks. If I've learned anything from my Dad, it's love everyone, treat others with your heart, be open, have fun, love life, don't take life for granted. I miss him so much, I see a lot of my dad in Wyatt and I wouldn't ask for anything else.

old school & popular birthday spots..... great times
Blake Hall, Wyatt's sweet friend from daycare had his 3rd birthday party at Pump It Up. It was our first trip and Wyatt loved it. I went up the slide twice with Wyatt so he could slide down. He loved it. I was tired from carrying him & trying to climb. You don't realize how steep those stairs are. But it was worth it.
This is Blake in his Prince chair opening his presents.

Wyatt decided that sliding down the ramp was just as much fun.
Love my sweet boy. Content with anything.

Waiting at the bottom of the slide watching the other kids go up & down.
He never fussed to go up. Thank goodness for momma.

Ian Spann turned 7 and had a skating party at Funtime Skateland in Pearl. I spent several Friday & Saturday nights at the rink, talking about boys and gossiping with my friends. We loved it.

summer fun with friends
My sweet friends Carla, Mike & Addison Morgan are expecting an addition to their family in October. Carla decided that she wanted to have a Reveal Party, so everyone could find out the sex of the baby at the same time. What a wonderful way to celebrate this new addition to their family. It was an honor to be asked to be there.
Carla, Mike & Addison cutting into the cake
and Wyatt releasing the pink balloons since they didn't need them anymore
It's A Boy!!!!

Wyatt was waiting for the party to begin. He found Addison's doll & chair and was talking to the babydoll. It was priceless. After his conversation with the doll, he made a fist & hit it. Now that is what a boy is suppose to do.

almost there.... a few more days
this is our condo and I'm so excited.
our first trip to the beach since Wyatt was born. I can't wait to see him playing in the sand.
I hope that our great experience booking the condo will reflect the great experience staying there at The Palms in Orange Beach.

life as we know it & i love it.....
Wyatt got a new outside chair that matches momma's.
He looks so big in his new chair.

waving 'bye' to everyone b/c he was ready to GO!
I took him shopping Saturday and he was so good. we were in the middle of Belk and he wouldn't get in his stroller. I told him he needed to sit down b/c he was going to get in trouble. So needless to say, he sat down. Thank goodness we were checking out and getting ready to go....to the next store. lol!!

Love, Love, Love the carts at JCPenney.
He can face forward and just hang out. He loved it.
it's too cute.

my mom & I have been looking at too many southern living & garden magazines.
my granny had this old birdbath and my mom decided she really wanted it.
took a trip to Rivers and gathered some lovely plants and this is what we have.
Mom also got some of my granny's flowers out of her yard and planted them around the bottom of the birdbath. my granny would be so proud. it's beautiful. also, see the angel on the back of the birdbath.
just another angel for our garden.

CRAWFISH BOIL @ the Reed's
Wyatt took to Raylee's car. He couldn't figure out how to move it but he didn't care.
He was driving and thats all that mattered. He loved it.

Hanging out and being Nosy!! as usual. He loves to people watch, just like his momma.
