New Orleans 2008

Chip and I decided to go to new orleans for my birthday. we had so much fun.

This eel was so gross but it was so cool at the same time.

this is my cute hubby acting like a kid. he loves fish, i swear he was one in a former life. we stood there for 20 minutes for him to pet those stingrays. i was bored, but he loved it so i just watched and didn/t say a word.

we didn't have any pics from Bourbon St. which is a good thing. I once again have realized i'm not '21' anymore. i'm getting old and the mornings after are getting a lot harder to handle. ha ha

We have another new nephew on the way, so I did this for his room

Andrew Seth Bowman and scheduled to make his debut on

December 15th, but we'll see if he decides to wait that long.

I hope that JoBeth loves it as much as I do.

I wanted something in my kitchen and I thought of this.

the color is really bad b/c i took this with my phone but you get the idea.

the border is chocolate brown and red. and of course the chili peppers are different shades of red & orange. I love them.

sweet nephews

Chip and I have been so bad and we aren't happy with ourselves. we haven't seen our new nephew, Hudson, yet. everytime we get ready to travel to Hattiesburg, either I get sick or Chip has to work. there is always something coming up. what are we going to do when we have kids if we are this busy now? I guess you make the time, right? so here is a cute pic of Walker & Hudson. I can't wait to hold him. it's looking like it will be Thanksgiving before we get a chance. And look out Hudson, Aunt Shea is a baby hog. Lots of kisses coming your way.

Please say a prayer for Kimberly today, Raylee is getting tubes.

I am praying that this will allow Kimberly & Billy some good sleep from now on.

Birthday Cake is my favorite

Ok so next week is my BIRTHDAY, the BIG '33' and I am so excited. Sort Of.

not because I'm getting older, I'm actually loving that part. (for now)

but I've been trying to eat healthy and loose some weight and I have an addiction to birthday cake. I love, love, love, Dairy Queen ice cream cake.

So I'm allowing my self one slice, maybe two but that is it.

Must stay strong! also with the holidays coming, it gets so hard to eat healthy.

So say a few prayers that I keep my willpower and strength to make it thru.

I know the results will be the best reward.

Chip asked me where I wanted to go for my birthday dinner. He of course was expecting Amerigo's (because it's my favorite) but for some reason all I really want is Buffalo Wild Wings and a cold beer. how crazy is that? I could have a romantic meal with the hubby but I'm a simple girl. Wings and beer are my choice this year.

my friend Kimberly wanted me to paint a MS State piggy bank for her little girl. and I have been wanting to do a canvas for her also. so this was the perfect time.


I hope Kimberly loves it as much as I do.

Vacation...what to do!

i'm counting down until i get off work today b/c i don't have to step foot in this place for 10 days. how awesome is that. I have no idea what i'm going to do next week, other than sleep late and clean my house. i'm going to do nothing.
chip has to work all week but he promised me one day that we could do stuff together. and of course i promised him that it wouldn't be a 'house work day'.

so there should be lots of blogging next week. b/c i will have to find things to do other than clean.

Husbands & Housework

Ok so today I almost lost it. chip is driving me crazy.
socks everywhere, dog water bowl empty, trash not at the road, and my car needs an oil change.
I hate asking him to do stuff b/c he works so hard and is such a great husband but I can't do it all. I know, we don't have kids, I should be happy he takes a shower and puts his plate in the sink. but somedays I just want more.
today was the day.
nervous breakdown before work. needless to say I got the oil changed in my car.
I absolutely hate going to the car place to have that done. sometimes I just want to be a girl and have "my Man" do those things for me.

oh well, I'm just having a weird day today.

it's almost saturday and I can't wait. I need a vacation, an emotional vacation. only 8 days left!
