my flowers

so i've been working out in the yard a lot more this year. i'm not an outdoor person, at all. here is the fruits of my labor. i'm very proud of my little flower bed. we are still working on the rest of the yard. ok this pic doesn't do justice to the colors in my flower bed. blues & purples & hot pink. i need to get a more close up shot. oh well you get the idea. also here is a pic my front porch area. i'm very proud of my fern. i have never been able to keep a fern alive, never. so i'm happy to report that this one is living and happy at the new long house.

so i didn't make it to walgreens the other night. it's just not in my normal route so i kept forgetting. i have to get better at that. but i did pick up some deals today at CVS.

i was reading my receipt and noticed that in July you get an

extra 2% earnings on you purchases. so i'll be going back on tuesday

to get more pepsi & toothpaste

ok so i'm trying to start clipping coupons and get into this whole CVS craze. so I just went to CVS for the first time and got the Charmin/Bounty combo. my husband thought I was crazy when I got home with all that TP. but hey a good deal is a good deal.

so I found www.couponbug.com. it has some great coupons on it.
i found the paper plate coupon at walgrees too. buy 2 at $3.79 and get a $3.00 coupon off 2 packs of paper plates. so i'm going to check it out tonight after work.

so here goes. i'll keep you updated on all my findings.

Ok so you know I ordered my pool thursday June 19th and it was delivered saturday June 21st. how awesome is that. I was expecting to have to wait at least 2 weeks. so we have the pool and it's unboxed in the backyard with no water in it. we have to level the ground, which my handsome husband has promised to do this weekend.

yippeee!!

I'm so excited. I've wanted a pool (just to float in) since we got married.

Ok I know it's sad that I'm so excited about a pool but it's the little things that make me happy.

It's Friday the 13th & my sweet husbands Birthday

well today is chip's 33rd birthday and he was actually born on friday the 13th. I look at our life and see all the wonderful things we have. and look back on all the wonderful & stupid things that we have done in our past and wonder how great it is to be in the place we are right now. He is my best friend and I don't think I could live without him.

man it's hot....

well the party was awesome. we had such a great time. old venice pizza co has the best bread that you dip in the oil. oh my goodness, that is all i ate all night. it's too good.
then saturday we all went to the camp ground and spent the day swimming and we cooked out. it was a nice and relaxing weekend.

i can't wait until we can do it again.
walker has gotten so big and we love spending time watching what he has turned into. such a little man. he was going under water all by himself.

it's the weekend.... yippeee!

well tonight is going to be so much fun. chip and I are helping Jacqueline (sis-in-law) throw Casey (chip's brother) a surprise 30th birthday party. i'm so excited b/c i love a good party. i won't know anyone there except for us b/c it will be all Casey's friends but i'm still ready to have a good time.

tomorrow will be fun too. we are suppose to go swimming with our nephew Walker (he's 4). he is so cute and smart. and is getting to that age where they are so much fun and can play rough. chip has been waiting for him to get this age since he was born. chip says that he can't handle babies b/c they cry but he loves when they get old enough to play and roughhouse.

my athletic nephew

that's Tyler #11. standing there like a grown boy.

ok last night chip and i went to Tyler's last baseball game of the season. he's 8 years old and he is awesome. his team went undefeated. they blew away every team that they played. chip is a huge sports fan and he was definitely impressed with these kids. they were getting double and triple plays and Tyler was on the pitchers mound and caught several hits.

i love baseball and it was so much fun to watch these kids do something that they enjoy. even the umpire was impressed with how great they were playing.

i'm a proud aunt and i have to tell everyone about my wonderful nephew. even Symon and Myles were jumping with anticipation of them rounding the bases.

here are also Myles & Symon at the game having a blast. they love being outside.

Thongs and Pedi's

i love the summer time, because i love getting pedicures.
And if i could find that one salon in my town that would wash my hair and give me a pedicure at the same time i would definitely be in heaven. Thongs are so much more fun to wear than big cloggers. (i'm talking about flip flops not undies) and they are so much more cute.

but i will say this, i'm not ready for the Mississippi Humidity. i swear it gets worse every year. you know those people that have a summer house on the beach, well i want a summer house in Canada. just kidding, i wish i lived at the beach.

Sex and the City......

my sweet husband took me to see Sex and the City last night. I loved it. he of course tolerated it and that makes me love him. it was awesome. I totally miss that show.
