evacuated but still had fun

We traveled to gulf shores saturday morning and went straight to the beach. we had so much fun. I love the beach. and would you believe it was a lot of people. we still got a beach chair and relaxed for the afternoon. Chip is my explorer, he was hunting crab and we found jelly fish as big as my head. as soon as I spotted that jelly fish I wasn't about to get back in the water. no way, it looked like it may hurt really bad. we guessed the storms brought them ashore. he also found crab as big as your hand. we saw two couples that were catching them to eat.

saturday night we went to Lulu's and had the best margaritas and mahi tacos. then on to the florabama. Oh my goodness we had fun. So many people dancing and drinking. It was a blast.

Sunday morning we woke to the announcement that there was a mandatory evacuation at noon. I don't like traffic so we headed out around 9:30 and went some back highways to Meridian then came across I-20 to Jackson. no traffic at all. It was actually a nice drive. (well in my case a great nap)

Monday brought on a cold for me. My head still feels like it may explode. I hate being sick. Other than that it was a great vacation.

I did what I wanted to do.....put my toes in the sand.
